I don't think it is important for John to watch the below clip as it is mostly a Big Book Session.

This is the start of the process of thinking about and creating our high-ticket coaching offer which will be marketed differently for each market we will be serving people uniquelyJohn, The text you see below is my edit. So the next step is, or rather our revision request for you is to take the text below and use this revision of the text (if you find it helpful), and rewrite it so there is no mention of the Big Book Of Alcoholics Anonymous - It is just focused on just Ask And It Is Given for the PURPOSE OF A THOUGHT ADDICTIONS OFFER for Ask And It Is Given like how Scott describes it in some of the videos above. And we are not expecting you to do this tonight, John. But you might want to just start reviewing some of the videos above on this page, possibly tonight if you find you have some time? And if you can send us that revision over the weekend? - That would actually be great! Anyways, this is our revision request for you, so let us know what you can commit to, as to what you feel would be enjoyable for you with this project? Scott and I feel we are ready to start sliding into creating what will lead to our paid offer soon with the Thought Addictions, and this revision creation is a step towards it. THIS IS OUR PROCESS.
All our sessions are held via Zoom, and only via Zoom. That means you need to have a computer or a smart phone with zoom installed, and access to the internet. Of course Zoom is free to use, and you already know that you can get free internet in lots of places, but the first thing is, you have to have Zoom. Everything we do in conjunction with All Addictions Anonymous is 100% free of charge. 20 years of recovery has taught us that Step 12, helping another addict recover free of any charge is the most important thing for your own recovery. So, just to be clear, we don’t do this type of work for charity, and we don’t do this to be of service to you. We do this to be of service to ourselves, because helping you cements our own recovery. Because of that, we only do this during our non-working hours, because like everyone, we have to make a living. Currently there are only 2 of us at AAA working with addicts on their recovery, Scott and Sameena. So while everything we do here is free, you have to do it on our schedule. We set aside specific hours to do this work, and those are the only hours we are available. We love this work, and we dearly hope that as some of you take this journey with us, you will love it too, and want to cement your own recovery by helping other addicts as we do. As more and more people do this, more and more times will become available on the calendar. The work we do together is to deeply study two texts. The first text is the Big Book of Alcoholics Anonymous (BB), and the second book is called Ask And It Is Given (AAIIG) by Esther and Jerry Hicks, encompasses the Teachings of Abraham Hicks . It is the studying of these texts that will help you put yourself in a healthy state of mind, and resolve those underlining issues or problems, which some of us may choose to use the term, 'addiction' - Be it primary or a secondary 'addiction'. Before I start explaining what happens on the calls, or sessions, let me tell you why we use these particular books. The Big Book was first written in 1938 by the founder of Alcoholics Anonymous, and has had a total of 4 editions. In the days before there were groups, and 12 step meetings, there was only the Big Book. Addicts as they were referred to as, mostly alcoholics back that period, would recover by following the 12 steps as described in the Big Book. Meetings were never required back, in fact meetings did not exist back in that era. The Big Book was actually all that was required as a powerful tool for recovery. Ask And It Is Given was written by Esther and Jerry Hicks and is is based on, one of the terms that is commonly used to describe the modalities that is applied in this text is 'The Law of Attraction'. Ask And It Is Given It is a gentle and unique process that guides you to see a different perspective with how to put yourself in a mental state that allows you to improve, and to attract the changes you want in life. Having said all that, now we can describe what the sessions or calls look like OUR PROCESS On the Zoom calls, we will read, dissect, analyze and think deeply about every word in the books that we study. Over 20 years of recovery has taught me that everyone needs to start in a certain, same place before we can start adapting things for the unique individual. If you work with me, Scott, I will take you through two parts of the Big Book, The Doctor’s Opinion and Bill’s Story. If you work with Sameena, she will take you through the four Forwards, giving you the context and the history of the Big Book (Alcoholics Anonymous). Each edition had a new forward, so the fourth edition, which is what is available now, has four forwards. Again these represent the history of the BB, and the beginnings of 12 step recovery. And Sameena is the right person to take you through specifically these sections of the Big Book. It has been our experience in going more in depth with these sections of the Big Book to be impactful and very meaningful. Which of us you work with will probably depend largely upon your schedule, and your preference based on the text you read above about what this is and how we go about it. Our most recommended path is for you to read and analyze the history with Sameena, then do The Doctor’s Opinion and Bill’s Story with Scott. Once you have worked through the two chapters with Scott, we will begin to tailor your road to recovery more towards your unique concerns and problems. You may decide to continue with the Big Book process, OR You may decide to start going through Ask And It Is Given literature, OR You may do both at the same time, as many people have. But you have to have the basis of the history and the first two chapters before that can happen. The methodology we are using used to be referred to as “booking” by the old timers of AA, because you end up marking up the book quite a bit. We have found this very effective both with the BB and AAIIG. We use six different highlighter colors to do the analysis. You will learn the methodology on your first call. Or, you can go to the bottom of this page and opt in to the Membership Site. This is free aswell, and you can read all about our Colour Coding system. More on the Membership Site later. We highlight words and phrases in the book with different colors depending on their purpose, bringing the book alive! - One color for promises, another color for suggestions, and yet another for prayers. All Addictions Anonymous does not require that you admit to your particular addiction. We work with people that have substance addictions like alcohol, cocaine and crack, heroin, etc. We also work with people that have what we think of as thought addictions like worry, negativity, co-dependency, people pleasing etc. Some people do not think of these latter issues as addictions, but we have had a great deal of success helping people recover from them by treating them like addictions. John promised a "solid" first Draft and here is where Sameena places a personal video with instructions on how to consume the content below given the time considerations so we absolutely do get a solid first draft as promised before we wake up tomorrow morningAs you are viewing these clips, John, pay close attention to the time stamps of any portions of the clips that you would like us to extract to support you in telling the story and a combination of words and video clips - So you pick those clips - and I believe my Introduction video below simplifies it for you of how you can go about doing this, so you don't get overwhelmed with the content in these videos and have that be the reason for you not being able to deliver a sold first draft. We want the end result of this writing to be STORY BASED WRITING THAT INTEGRATES THE VIDEOS THAT HITS THE HEART. (And again, John, don't let this all overwhelm you, watch my introduction video first as it says how to go about with this writing, so you can deliver a solid first draft. INTRODUCTION VIDEO EXPLAINING HOW TO PROCESS THE VIDEO CONTENT John, before you start your writing, Strat with listening to Video #08 (I included it as the first video) first, even though you may have watched it, it is included on this page as one of the new clips Scott extracted and edited - And in Video #11, which follows the first video on this page, he talks all about the process and how both Scott and I work together with people and what the offer is - The offer is brought up more than half way towards the end of the video. You can even take Scott's words right out of this video clip I think when he talks about how this process works. So I suggest you watch the first 5 videos below on this page first- write out the entire process, how we both work with people, and the offer, and then you you can go back and add the heart into it? I believe it may make it easier for you? - Which is to get out the whole process as Scott describes it in this video clip and elaborate on the details, experience, get the offer out, which is also mentioned in this video, Call to Action, and then you can go back and polish it adding the heart into it - reminder to write it like a story form as we talked about? -Process, including how we work with people and what does it look like -Experience of working with Scott and Sameena -Offer -Call To Action This clip (#12) - Starts with - in your writing, it should answer the following question - look out for this - "What happens to me if I get on the call?" - Talks more about the offer Approx. 3 minutes and 45 seconds into the video, Scott gets into talking about the membership site - which completes the offer, and as it is mentioned in the video, they have an option .... Talked about in this video clip. We sponsor people by taking them (one-on-one over zoom) through some of the most potent sections of the Big Book of AA and “Ask And It Is Given” by Abraham Hicks customized for their unique views on spirituality and addiction. Video Clip #07 - 41 second clip - very powerful, it emphasizes story based - telling it s a story, instead of a sales copy. You only need to listen to the below clip (#10) starting at approximately the 3 minute mark here where it goes into Scott talking. The mind of the 'addict' doubts themselves in their mind - questioning everything. They can't trust themselves and therefore, they don't know who to trust - so they turn to their 'drug', whether it's to alcohol, substances, or a secondary addiction like, co-dependency, worry, negativity, etc because in their world it is the only thing they can probably trust, giving them a 'high' or an escape from their mind - probably the only thing they know to do to in some cases barely survive. - This process is not about relying on or becoming dependent on your sponsor, it is about coming to terms at your own pace and in your own time with putting dependency upon God as you understand god to be for you for your recovery. - This is not about being of service, and we are not a charity, nothing is owed in this kind of spiritual work. - Suggest start with watching the second and third video on this page first as they go into talking about the writing related to the offer and what should primarily got on the AAA homepage. - The AAA homepage should primarily talk about the process - how it works - what is the experience like working with us and what we are offering specifically - which we narrowed it down to 2 things that is 12-step work and therefore free - the two only things - The Big Book sessions and 'Ask And It Is Given' sessions. No selling needed here - we want to write in the spirit of a story - what is the experience like and we need to clearly explain what the process looks like, including what will happen if they book a call, etc. - What is the value? This is what is missing. -Describe the process of doing it together - What happens exactly, i.e. we start the Big Book with going through the Forwards - and Sameena takes them through the forwards - And Scott takes the through the Doctor's Opinion - What is the value going through the Doctor's Opinion? - What is the experience like? - What is the experience like going through Bill's Story in the Big Book? The video Scott is talking about in the below clip is the video right above this one, where I talk about my Worry addiction .... The below videos explain, John why you need to do the long form version of our AAA story as to what we are offering to people and how our process works, etc. August 12 Letter From Maira |
